Postulancy lasts from six months to two years. The postulant gradually makes the transition from secular life to a life proper to consecrated persons and deepens her formation as a person and a religious. Postulants live in a religious house, participate in elements of daily divine service, undertake the work that is entrusted to them in community, and learn how to live together, experiencing the joys of taking their first steps on the way of realizing their vocation. During the postulancy Our Lord asks the continual question: Do you want it? And the response of the soul is: – I want it, I am coming, here I am Lord (Fr. Peter Semenenko, C.R.).
